Composite veneers – a more affordable way to a beautiful smile
Dental veneers have always been the gold standard in cosmetic dentistry, giving you brighter, whiter, more evenly spaced teeth. Up till recently, porcelain veneers were the only choice, but today, composite veneers have improved remarkably and are now an attractive and more affordable option to porcelain.
Composite veneers cover the surface of your teeth and can correct many cosmetic concerns, such as the shape, alignment, position and colour. There is minimal to no damage to your existing tooth structure, and the procedure is completely reversible.
Composite veneers can aesthetically improve:
- uneven, crooked teeth
- badly stained teeth, e.g., tetracycline stains that won’t respond to bleaching
- chipped teeth
- gappy teeth
- poorly formed, short or misshapen teeth
Smile assessment and resin bonding mockup
To ensure you’ll be happy with the result, first, we’ll get you in for a 40-minute smile assessment. Here, we’ll discuss any concerns you have with your teeth and how you’d like them improved.
Using resin bonding, we’ll mock up a temporary smile, which will last around 2 to 3 hours – just enough time for you to take a good look at the mirror, show your family and friends and be 100% certain that you’re happy with the look we’ve produced.
The procedure
The composite bonding procedure is completed in one session. We’ll use several colours to achieve a more natural-looking result. And, all composite veneers have a two-year guarantee.
Porcelain veneers
High-quality, long-lasting veneers with a 10-year guarantee
Porcelain veneers have always been considered the Rolls-Royce of veneers. Wafer-thin yet incredibly strong, they are more long-lasting than composite resin veneers and are incredibly natural-looking, even translucent in places.
Porcelain veneers can be used to treat the same cosmetic concerns as composite veneers. The difference lies in the price point, longevity, and, although composite bonding offers excellent results, porcelain veneers are the most lifelike.
As with composite bonding, porcelain veneers can effectively correct:
- uneven, crooked teeth
- badly stained teeth, e.g., tetracycline stains that won’t respond to bleaching
- chipped teeth
- gappy teeth
- poorly formed, short or misshapen teeth
